Love It Or List It Episode 7

King Living, an official partner of Love It Or List It Australia, feature once again this week on the Foxtel’s Lifestyle series.

The latest episode brings us to the semi-rural Melbourne suburb of Park Orchards. Mel and Macca head a family of nine children – Mel is a stay at home mum, while Macca works in construction.

The home is not short on space inside or out, however the family struggles with making room for eleven people. The main dining area is crowded, with the kitchen space becoming a canteen where Mel produces 33 meals a day, as well as storage being an issue. Mel thinks it’s time to upgrade to a home which better accommodates the family’s needs. Macca however, believes they have the perfect home. Andrew has the difficult task of removing Macca from his “dream” home, whereas Neale has the unenviable task of re-designing the home to give Mel the open-plan living space she desires.

In the spacious Park Orchards home, the Concerto lounge has been adapted to the space, gracefully filling the room, upholstered in the versatile Palm Beach Seaspray fabric. The Bongo Ottoman in a funky print adds a pop of colour and interest to the area. The matching Bongo tray is set atop the Ottoman for texture, as well as practicality. Tucked neatly in the room is the Edge TV unit in a homely walnut-coloured timber. To complete the look, various King Living Panama cushions have been scattered over the lounge, from peacock velvets to subtler pinks and candy stripes.
